After a relaxing night in the heart of the Argovia Jurapark, the second stage of La Route Verte guides you along winding roads in a cultivated landscape marked by high-stem orchards – and note, if you make the trip in spring, you will be able to admire the beautiful blossoming cherry trees. At Wittnau, you leave the Park to bike through the landscapes of Basel-Land all the way to the Canton’s capital, Liestal. Make sure to load up your e-bike to tackle the upcoming hills. It’s all worth the effort though to bike through such lush and sumptuous nature! You then cycle downhill towards Balsthal in Thal Nature Park and enjoy great views of ruins of the Neu Falkenstein castle.
